2 Year Academic – Diploma in Human Resource Management

Program Description

The Bachelor of Human Resources Management programme is designed for those who are interested in a thorough grounding in human resource management theory and practice. The programme is targeted for individuals who work as human resource managers, supervisors and administrators in public and private sector organizations. The programme combines both theory and practice of human resource management, with particular emphasis on HRM issues.

The Bachelor of Human Resource Management is a 3-year program with 30 units that will promote the student’s self-confidence and the desire to continue their learning activities for future success.

Students will be provided with access to all required learning materials and will include projects, simulations and assignments. Face-to-face lectures and tutorials will provide the opportunity for interactive learning engagements.

Program Objectives

Upon completion of this program students will be able to:

  • Explain the financial concepts used in making business decisions
  • Use business terms and concepts when communicating
  • Analyze data to verify accuracy of conclusions 
  • Use effective communication skills to promote respect, trust and relationships
  • Practice active listening to enhance the ability to get a clear understanding of difficult situations
  • Practice an awareness of ethical and social responsibilities to multi-cultural, team-oriented, rapidly changing environments
  • Utilize information by applying a variety of business and industry standard software and hardware to major business functions (e.g., marketing, accounting, and human resource management)
  • Select and use appropriate resources
