6 Months (TVET) – Customs & Freight Forward Management

About the Course

The Customs and Freight Forwarding programme, pitched at Certificate level provides basic depth and breadth training to produce a competent customs clearing practitioner with skills required for the safe handling of freight, and to adhere to customs compliance regulations, which will assist companies in saving costs by establishing world-class supply chains with competent employees. The learning programme will prepare the participant to manage the customs legislative documentary process when moving cargo from origin to destination.

Objectives

Study to become part of the supply chain/logistics industry. Develop skills in team leadership and manage the packing, insurance, documentation and other regulatory requirements associated with international freight logistics.

Providing access to proper training and accreditation will allow agents to enhance their professional skills, reducing errors in documentation, the need for physical inspections and ultimately the time and cost of trade for business.

Entry Requirements

Grade 12 or Grade 10 and/or 3 years work experience in relevant field.

Registration and Duration

Registration is open twice in a year, January and July In-take separately and the duration is 24 weeks/6 months.

Course Fees

K5,500.00 and K1,500 upfront payment on Registration.
